Our design team are experts at designing for the web. Our websites never have been and never will be corrupted by graphic design for graphic designs’ sake.
Right from the start of your project, you liase directly with the design team who will work with you on creative ideas that will form the foundations of your website.
Then, with a solid creative theme established, we look closely at the details: user flow, calls to action, considered use of white space, right down to the right font. Our design teams attention to detail is unsurpassed and turns good design ideas into beautiful websites that work.
Everything we build is in XHTML and CSS. This means your website will be compatible across a wide range of browsers, and tested throughout the build. Our designers are insistent that the sites we build match their design to the pixel. We don't do compromise.
Matt our head builder is the best kept secret in this industry, to the extent whereby we have to keep him under 24/7 security. In the world of Web 2.0 you need to know what you are getting meets modern standards, meets DDA guidelines, and will ensure you rank well in the search engines.
We develop in a wide range of languages, chosen to suit the project we are working on. Our core language for development is classic ASP and server side JavaScript, however we have recently made the switch to object orientated languages like .NET and JSP. We have a number of server technologies we develop on, including Windows 2003 and Linux boxes.
We have developed a number of websites that rely on XML and CSV data feeds which are usually combined with AJAX for real time display of search results, and have integrated just about every third party payment processor on the web (most notably HSBC, WorldPay, Netbanx, Protx and PayPal). A number of our sites also use PHP scripts where necessary, in particular when integration with SMS servers is required for sending chargeable text messages.
We like to believe where our service really stands out is in our handling of the project from start to finish. Unlike a lot of other agencies in our league we prepare full functional and technical specifications right at the start of your project. These are then used to prepare UML documents and an online project plan. This means you can log into your secure client area to view the project tasks as they are completed, giving you an overall view of the project process
You are assigned a single point of contact here at DT, and it’s their job to make sure they know your project inside out. Once a project is complete you will continue to liaise with your project manager for the duration of your time with us – so that when you need to discuss your site, you are dealing with the person here that knows your site the best.
Once a project is live, our service to you will continue to impress. To begin with we make sure you are sent a daily report of your sites visitors as a PDF, at midnight every night. Of course if this is a bit of an information overload we can change this to weekly. You also have access to the secure client area, this allows you to view any other projects, view/print/pay invoices, renew hosting and most importantly log any little jobs you need completing. These are fired directly at your project manager who will get the right person working on it as soon as possible.
