Simon Hicks - Managing Partner

Hi, I’m Simon, one of the Managing Partners here at DT so I’d say I’m the captain of our fair vessel. I’m the one you will more than likely talk to first when you are interested in having a website from us. I’ve been swimming in the digital stuff now for the best part of 15 years and in that time have worked with some of the biggest companies in the world. I’m still excited by the web, and love coming up with new ways for clients to present their business to the world.

Hi, I’m Jen! I’m the Creative Director and Managing Partner here at Digital Turtle. I oversee all design work carried out by the team and ensure everything is of the highest standard and meets the clients needs. I love to design and am incredibly grateful that my job allows me to do what has always been a great passion. I’m based down in the Tenby office, and I like to think if this were an episode of cribs, this would be “where the magic happens”......Design Magic!

Martin - Project Manager

Hi I’m Martin the project manager here at Digital Turtle. I am the guy responsible for making sure your project runs like a well oiled machine, from initially speccing it out to keeping you informed of progress from start to finish. I’m also the one clients talk to on a day to day basis if they need anything doing to their website. As a sideline I am also the company gardener and making sure our office plants look and stay healthy. Healthy plants make happy staff!

Hi I’m Gareth and I’m a developer here, I tend to get myself involved in most technical aspects of your website from the HTML build stage right through to the database coding. Although I’m the youngest person here I’ve been with Digital Turtle from the start, so if anyone knows how to make your site meet the standards you’d expect from us, it’s me! My most important role in the office though is to ensure that 80s power ballads are frequently pumped through the office speakers.

Hello there! My name is Ali and I am one of the Designers here at Digital Turtle. I have a long and varied history in Art & Design having graduated with honours in 2005, I have been working as a Designer/Artist ever since. My role here involves using Photoshop to come up with designs and visual ideas specific to our clients needs. My beautiful designs are then sent off to the guys in Bristol and made into fully functioning websites! This process is almost as amazing as watching Simon hula hooping on Wii Fit!!.

Hi. I’m Darren and I am a web developer here at Digital Turtle. I’ve been building websites since 1995 and have built up a wealth of technical skills in ‘front end’ html, css, javascript and Ajax, plus ‘back end’ development technology such as php, java, asp and sql. Aside from coding, I love the business analysis and systems design aspect of my job: understanding what our clients need and designing custom systems that deliver.

Matt - Developer

Hello, Matt here. I am a front end web developer for Digital Turtle which involves building the design's that come from our design team using my skills with HTML, CSS and Javascript. My job is to produce standards specific, accessible and re-useable code which is pixel perfect to the design's we are given. Generaly this just means making your website look great and be easily changeable in the future. I've been working with the web for over 10 years now and still loving it!

When you choose a company to design and build your website it's worth remembering that unless you relish the hassle, you are in a relationship with them for the life of your website. You wouldn't choose a friend you don't get on with, so make sure you and your web company have a good fit.

Our staff selection policy is an unusual one. Such is the wealth of potential candidates, we can afford to be that little bit more picky. The most important factor for us is - do we get on with this person? At the end of the day, a happy office is a productive office. We wouldn't want a client to ask to speak to their developer and be greeted by a mono-sylabal uber-geek. A client needs to feel at ease with everyone on their project, we believe it makes for a better end result, and a smoother project process in general. Our team is growing all the time, but at the moment, this is us above.
